Top 10! Kapolei Ranked #8 in Hawaii by Golf Pass for 2025

We are always humbled by awards and accolades. Recently Kapolei Golf Club was ranked #8 amongst Golf Pass’ “Top 25 Best Public Courses in Hawaii”. This honor is aptly referred to as their “Golfers Choice” honor. It is meaningful in that the rankings were driven from past golfers, golfers that played Kapolei then went to GolfPass.com to scribe a review based upon their experience. There were over 1900 reviews submitted throughout the Aloha State on Golf Pass.com last year.

For that we say MAHALO to everyone who played Kapolei Golf Club… and especially those that played and then shared their experience on GolfPass.com

From GolfPass.com: Each course needed at least three reviews and at least some public access to qualify. The best public golf courses in Hawaii all offer scenic views, whether you’re on the Hawaiian island of Maui, Kauai, Oahu or the Big Island. The Plantation Course at Kapalua, home to The Sentry, is the Aloha State’s most famous resort course, but there are so many others. For example, Turtle Bay Resort used to regularly host the PGA TOUR Champions and the LPGA Tour. Which Hawaiian Island is home to the best golf courses? That’s an endless debate.

Sony Open Dreams Made At Kapolei

Kapolei Golf Club continued our tradition of hosting competitive events with the recent hosting of the Sony Open Monday qualifier (and before that the prequalifying). Notables in the field included recognizable PGA TOUR professionals such as Kevin Streelman, Chez Reavie, Kevin Tway to name a few. Those with Oahu ties were also chasing a Monday Qualifying spot included Honolulu resident, Y.E. Yang and former Manoa Open Champion in Josh Sedeno, among others. Ultimately it was Alejandro Tosti who carded seven birdies, one eagle and one bogey to shoot an 8-under 64 at Kapolei Golf Club to earn a spot in this week’s field at Waialae Country Club.

Tosti was joined by Gavin Cohen (65), RJ Manke (65) and the afore mentioned Kevin Streelman (65) in qualifying for the Sony Open in Hawaii (ie a total of four spots were awarded).
